Drew Madden – Helping Move the World Forward with EMR Efficiency

There is a reason that the world considers Drew Madden to be an executive healthcare IT executive extraordinaire. He is exactly that. Madden served as the President of Nordic Consulting Partners, Inc. from 2011-2016. His responsibilities included business development, talent search, recruitment, and operational consulting. Before Nordic, Madden was Ingenix Consulting’s Regional Sales Director in charge of consulting sales and client development.

Nordic owns the reputation for being the world’s largest Epic consulting company. It has received several consulting awards for its excellence. His healthcare IT experience includes more than a decade of planning, implementing, and finding ways to store, manage, and recall electronic health records. His work and influence span the nation.

He collaborates with some of the best and brightest minds in the industry to create, optimize, implement, and troubleshoot EMR projects. Under his tenure, Nordic grew from 10 to over 700 employees.

They grew their client base of three clients to a 150, and their financial base expanded from $1 million to over $130 million annually. That is impressive by any means. Madden’s education includes a B.S.E. in Industrial Engineering. He received his degree from Iowa College of Engineering where his focus was in Medical Systems.

The federal government has oversight over healthcare organizations making the transition from paper medical records to storage in an electronic data system. Federal guidelines also stipulate the need for privacy and security, which happens to be a major concern in today’s world due to hacking.

EMRs provide greater efficiency of data retrieval, reduce healthcare costs, help aid in the prevention of medical errors, and help to improve the overall quality of patient care. This becomes a win-win for everyone in the healthcare industry. In the meantime, Drew Madden continues to make a major impact in the EMR industry and it does not look like he will be slowing down anytime soon.
